Fettuccine Alfredo Recipie

A creamy Italian pasta made with fettuccine noodles, butter, cream, and Parmesan cheese, often garnished with parsley.

Ingredients 🛒

  1. 12 ounce (340 g) fettuccine pasta
  2. 4 tbsp (½ stick) unsalted butter
  3. 1 cup (240 ml) heavy cream
  4. 1 cup (100 g) freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  5. 2 cloves garlic, minced (optional for extra flavor)
  6. Salt & black pepper to taste
  7. Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

👩‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta
    • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
    • Add the fettuccine and cook until al dente (8-10 minutes).
    • Reserve ½ cup of the pasta water, then drain the pasta.
  1. Make the Alfredo sauce
    • In a large pan, melt the butter over medium heat.
    • Add garlic (if using) and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
    • Pour in the heavy cream and simmer gently for 3-4 minutes, stirring often.
  1. Add cheese
    • Stir in the Parmesan cheese until the sauce becomes creamy and smooth.
    • Season with salt and black pepper.
  1. Combine pasta & sauce
    • Toss the cooked fettuccine into the sauce.
    • If the sauce is too thick, add a splash of the reserved pasta water.
  1. Serve
    • Plate the pasta, sprinkle with fresh parsley, and serve warm.
