Ingredients 🛒
- 12 ounce (340 g) fettuccine pasta
- 4 tbsp (½ stick) unsalted butter
- 1 cup (240 ml) heavy cream
- 1 cup (100 g) freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cloves garlic, minced (optional for extra flavor)
- Salt & black pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Cook the pasta
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
- Add the fettuccine and cook until al dente (8-10 minutes).
- Reserve ½ cup of the pasta water, then drain the pasta.

Make the Alfredo sauce
- In a large pan, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add garlic (if using) and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in the heavy cream and simmer gently for 3-4 minutes, stirring often.

Add cheese
- Stir in the Parmesan cheese until the sauce becomes creamy and smooth.
- Season with salt and black pepper.

Combine pasta & sauce
- Toss the cooked fettuccine into the sauce.
- If the sauce is too thick, add a splash of the reserved pasta water.

- Plate the pasta, sprinkle with fresh parsley, and serve warm.
