🍕 Classic Margharita Pizza Recipie

Ingredients 🛒
For the Dough
- 2 ½ cups (300 g) all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 packet (7 g) instant yeast
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- ¾ cup (180 ml) warm water
For Toppings
- 1 cup (250 g) pizza sauce (or tomato purée with herbs)
- 200 g fresh mozzarella cheese (sliced or shredded)
- Fresh basil leaves
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Salt & pepper to taste

Prepare the Dough

In a bowl, mix warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5-7 minutes until foamy.

Add flour, salt, and olive oil. Mix until a dough forms.

Knead for 8-10 minutes until smooth. Cover and let it rise for 1 hour (it should double in size).

Preheat the Oven

Set to 475°F (245°C). Place a pizza stone or baking tray inside to heat.

Shape the Dough

Punch down the risen dough and roll it into a thin circle/rectangle.

Transfer to parchment paper for easy handling.

Add the Toppings

Spread pizza sauce evenly.

Top with mozzarella slices.

Sprinkle with salt, pepper, and a drizzle of olive oil.

Bake

Carefully place the pizza (with parchment) on the hot tray/stone.

Bake for 8-12 minutes until crust is golden and cheese is bubbly.

Finish & Serve

Add fresh basil leaves on top after baking.
