Ingredients π
Dough
- 3 Β½ cups (440 g) tipo β00β flour (or all-purpose flour)
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 packet (7 g) instant yeast
- 1 ΒΌ cups (300 ml) warm water
- 2 tbsp olive oil
Toppings
- 1 cup (250 g) crushed fresh tomatoes or tomato purΓ©e
- 200 g fresh mozzarella (preferably buffalo mozzarella)
- Fresh basil leaves
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Pinch of salt
π©βπ³ Instructions
- Mix yeast, sugar, and warm water; let it foam. Add flour, salt, and olive oil, knead into soft dough. Let it rise 1β2 hours.
- Preheat oven to 500Β°F (260Β°C) with a pizza stone or tray inside.
- Roll out dough into a thin round.
- Spread tomato purΓ©e lightly over the dough.
- Add mozzarella pieces and drizzle with olive oil.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until crust is soft, slightly charred, and cheese is melted.
- Garnish with fresh basil before serving.
